Join the dynamic Central Assessment Team as an AID Outpatient Therapist, where your expertise will make a real difference in the lives of those seeking mental health care! In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate closely with the Central Intake Team and psychiatrists to gather and integrate essential clinical data, ensuring that every patient receives the right level of care tailored to their needs.

What You'll Do:

• Conduct Assessments: Dive into meaningful diagnostic interviews and assessments, both in-person and through innovative telehealth options. Work hand-in-hand with psychiatry to develop provisional diagnoses and substantiate care recommendations that truly matter.
• Be a Crisis Navigator: Provide critical crisis risk assessments and develop effective safety plans, guiding patients through challenging moments with compassion and expertise.
• Facilitate Seamless Admissions: Collaborate with care teams and caregivers to ensure smooth admissions to the appropriate level of care-whether it's inpatient, residential, partial hospital, intensive outpatient, or outpatient services-making a positive impact every step of the way.
• Embrace a Holistic Approach: Bring your knowledge of trauma-informed and culturally responsive care into every interaction, recognizing the unique backgrounds and needs of each patient.
• Lead and Inspire: Offer clinical oversight, consultation, supervision, and training for fellow AID team members, including unlicensed and junior-level licensed staff. Your mentorship will help shape the next generation of mental health professionals!

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related degree program. Independently licensed as a mental health professional (e.g., LP, LPCC, LMFT, LICSW) in the state of Minnesota required
• Two years of experience in behavioral healthcare preferred
• Clinical interviewing and diagnostic assessment skills preferred
• Must have knowledge of DSM-5 criteria
• Trauma informed, culturally responsive and inclusive lens; oriented and educated in diverse care factors such as gender identity, culture, race, religion, and age
• Foundational skills in interviewing and safety/diagnostic assessment
• Display a professional, patient-centered attitude in all aspects of performance
• Skills to conceptualize clinical presentations and communicate clearly and effectively with Clinical Directors and professionals both internally and within other organizations
• Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office Products including Word and Outlook
• Ability to smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks
• Ability to effectively and efficiently communicate both in written and verbal form
• Ability to react quickly and calmly as part of a team to support or intervene in volatile and potentially emergency situations. Ability to actively model self-regulation when within stressful situations
• Ability to make effective decisions while in stressful situations and circumstances
• After training, be able to manage agitated patients and families

Pay range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 depending on education and experience.
