Job Title: Procurement Director (Electrical)

Overview:
Moss is seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Director (Electrical) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process for electrical components and services, ensuring that our purchasing strategies align with both our operational goals and overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving cost efficiencies without compromising quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans for electrical products and services that align with company-wide supply chain objectives, including cost optimization, quality improvement, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead the vendor selection and relationship management process, ensuring long-term partnerships that support supply resilience, innovation, and performance KPIs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams-such as engineering, project management, finance, and logistics-to align procurement with project timelines, budgets, and inventory strategies.
  • Conduct regular market and supplier risk assessments to proactively address price volatility, lead time variability, and geopolitical or compliance risks affecting the electrical supply chain.
  • Leverage data analytics and procurement technologies to enhance spend visibility, supplier performance tracking, and continuous process improvement.
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis, value engineering, and alternate sourcing strategies while maintaining or improving product quality.
  • Partner with supply chain and operations leadership to streamline sourcing workflows and support the company's overall supply chain agility and responsiveness.
  • Ensure procurement activities meet all regulatory, safety, and ethical standards and support sustainability initiatives and responsible sourcing goals.
  • Participate in strategic planning and capital project reviews to provide procurement insight on long-term electrical sourcing needs and capacity planning.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop procurement staff to build a high-performing, strategic sourcing function capable of supporting future business growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in procurement, with a strong emphasis on electrical components or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating contracts and managing supplier performance.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
