Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Ariens Company is on the hunt for a dynamic and high-caliber Strategic Sourcing Manager! In this exciting role, you will lead sourcing efforts for purchased Power Equipment and Assigned Commodities across our Brillion, WI facilities, and provide support to our Ariens UK facility as needed. You will own and manage the crucial relationships between Ariens and our suppliers of assigned commodities, as well as all contract manufacturers of whole goods. Your focus will be on strategically balancing in-house capacities and costs with outsourced needs, capabilities, and pricing. Join our team in Brillion, WI and be a key player in driving our sourcing strategy to new heights! THE DAY TO DAY...
Develop and implement category strategies for top spend categories Perform SWOT analysis and review market trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction, innovation, and supplier consolidation Identify and capitalize on cost reduction opportunities for assigned commodities, including logistical costs, and leverage aggregate purchase volumes across all facilities for maximum cost efficiency Strengthen supplier partnerships and enhance collaboration Monitor and communicate supplier performance, utilizing quarterly business reviews and other channels Negotiate warranty-related cost recovery from suppliers Optimize inventory management by addressing commercial aspects of inventory management and stocking strategies Align sourcing strategies with New Product Development (NPD) timelines by developing sourcing timelines and collaborating with cross-functional teams Monitor and forecast commodity price trends and impacts on expenditure. Draft and review contracts, track milestones, and ensure efficient contract execution Spearhead the exploration and cultivation of potential new sources, overseeing the quoting process from initial orders to seamless handoff to materials leaders and planning teams Conduct make versus buy evaluations Introduce innovative technologies and solutions from both existing and new suppliers to relevant product development teams
THE QUALIFICATIONS...
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or relevant field of study required Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in sourcing, supply chain and/or buying/procurement Experience in contract negotiation preferred Demonstrable experience in cost reduction activities preferred CPM certified preferred
