The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Vice President, Transformation & Focus Project, the Senior Manager, Strategic Transformation, will be accountable for creating a framework to assess and optimize the allocation of time and resources to transformation initiatives across the organization, including those leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI). The successful candidate will ensure alignment with a top-down enterprise-wide approach and gain alignment between the Transformation Office, Information Services (IS), Corporate Functions, and the Business Units.

What you'll do

  • Develop and lead a Transformation strategy roadmap with a 3-5-year timeframe, ensuring alignment with the Focus framework and balancing interdependencies between in-flight initiatives, the SAP S4/Hana upgrade, ongoing operating model/integration work, and IS projects including the enterprise-wide AI strategy.

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to a team of professionals to develop and execute the Transformation strategy roadmap and enable the success of top-down enterprise-wide initiatives.

  • Oversee the strategic portfolio review process to prioritize and rank transformation projects, ensuring optimal alignment of time and resource allocation, while integrating project development and review processes effectively.

  • Assess and refine value prioritization models across various areas, ensuring alignment with enterprise-wide strategic goals and create a unified value prioritization framework for Transformation initiatives.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of transformation initiatives, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

  • Foster collaboration across the organization, including IS, Corporate Functions, and the Business Units, to ensure cohesive and aligned transformation efforts, leveraging existing frameworks and/or implementing improved processes for value realization.

  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership on the allocation of resources to high-impact transformation initiatives.

  • Influence and advise others through technical expertise and effective stakeholder collaboration to ensure alignment and buy-in for strategic transformation initiatives.

  • Demonstrate a high level of cultural leadership (Safety in every step, Personal accountability, One team, Active learning).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Strategy, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of proven experience in strategic planning, portfolio management/optimization, and transformation initiatives.

  • Experience within other functional organizations is considered an asset (Engineering, Operations, Projects, etc.).

  • Proven record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects on time and within budget.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex value prioritization models.

  • Experience with AI and technology-driven transformation initiatives is highly desirable.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and business units to drive strategic alignment and transformation.

  • Adaptable to changing conditions, knowledgeable in application of continuous improvement techniques, with the ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization.

  • Outstanding negotiation and dispute resolutions skills with the ability to drive optimal outcomes between stakeholders with differing opinions.

  • Demonstrated leadership capability and ability to provide business guidance to staff with strong coaching and mentoring skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and creatively to establish, as well as emulate and implement best practices.

  • Proven track record of monitoring emerging transformation and continuous improvement trends and leveraging strong industry relationships to inform and elevate organizational initiatives.
