Overview
The "Advanced Applications Engineer" will provide the highest level of field support to our regional channel partners, consultants and prospective users by providing advanced system design assistance, training, third-party integration, and troubleshooting. The Advanced Applications Engineer will also work closely and collaboratively with the Regional Director and Area Manager(s) to ensure channel partner's experience a high level of support and success. The territory for this role will cover Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa. Base Pay Range: $101,000 -- $127,000 We will be accepting applications until a final candidate is identified. The above reflects the pay range that QSC reasonably expects to pay for this role. This pay range also depends on various factors such as job duties and requirements, relevant experience and skills and geographic location. Responsibilities
* Work with Regional Director and Area Manager(s) to ensure that our customers have a strong understanding of the Q-SYS platform and are fully equipped to design, program, and support Q-SYS deployments across audio, video and control applications * Establish a regular cadence of channel partner visits and communication with technical teams and technical leadership * Represent Q-SYS at regional and national trade shows. * Lead and facilitate field training sessions to ensure channel partners are fully equipped with the technical knowledge needed to implement and support Q-SYS solutions * Provide guidance, development, and teaching of Advanced Level training curriculum in the field and at Q-SYS training experience centers. * Provide Advanced-level seminars, webinars, and presentations as required. * Provide scopes of work, system line diagrams, and supporting Q-SYS bills of materials to assist customers in accurately quoting and planning sales opportunities * Provide Mentoring on subject matter expertise to other Systems Application Engineers within the organization. * Participate as a subject matter expert on the Q-SYS ecosystem on platforms such as Q-SYS Communities. * Keep Engineering, Marketing, Product Development, Technical Services and Quality Assurance divisions informed, of any product issues, opportunities, software bugs or emerging customer needs. * Assist and influence Product Development by acquiring and reporting application, use-case, and customer requirement information. * Reinforce QSC's credibility within the Pro Audio, Video and Control community. * Assist in building and programming tradeshow technology demonstrations.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in a technical/engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5-year experience in the professional audio, video, and control industry
- Must be fluent in computer technologies, networked audio video and control systems, and DSP technology
- Must have a deep understanding of integrated audio-visual systems and signal flow
- Experience with LUA scripting, User Interface Design, Control System Design, Logic flow or similar skills is highly desirable
- Experience with Unified Communications systems (Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco, etc.) are desirable
- Audio Visual industry certifications in CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D are desirable
- Hold active Q-SYS certifications and show a strong desire to pursue ongoing certifications and training as new curriculum is introduced
- IT industry certifications such as CCNA, CCDA, Network + or equivalent are desirable
- Certifications with third-party control integration (Extron, Crestron, AMX etc.) are desirable
- Ability to present technical topics in a classroom, webinar, and tradeshow setting is required
- Position requires a minimum of 50% travel
- Applicants should reside in Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, or Iowa
