Georgia-Pacific (GP) is seeking a motivated individual with a strong background in industrial lubrication practices and oil analysis as we transform how we think about monitoring oil health of industrial equipment. Using raw sample data and a combination of AI and advanced tools, we are building a centralized capability to oversee oil analysis for all GP facilities. This candidate will be at the forefront as we begin this service across our pulp and paper facilities.

Our Team

About the Collaboration and Support Center - The CSC team partners with operating facilities by providing collaboration and support across multiple disciplines of expertise (GP and Vendors) to achieve scalable problem-solving across manufacturing sites and businesses. The team will use the best available technology with an enterprise-wide approach, primarily focusing on Asset Health, Process Safety, and Process Optimization.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze routine oil sample test data
  • Prioritize and escalate issues to facilities and help problem solve
  • Identify samples as candidates for, and conduct advanced testing
  • Attend monthly meetings with site asset health teams (remote)
  • Work with SME's during RCFA investigations
  • Site visits driven by need for problem solving and failure analysis (10%)
  • Travel up to 25%

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • MLT 1, MLA 1 Required
  • 5 years minimum experience in maintenance or facility operations in an industrial, manufacturing environment
  • Effective utilization of problem-solving methods
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to learn and utilize social networking tools
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office tools
  • Willing and able to travel to sites to build relationships and to Atlanta CSC Lab - up to 75%

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Maintenance/Reliability experience at a paper mill
  • MLT II / MLA II / OMA I certifications
  • Advanced Testing methods - Laser Net Fines, Fluid Scan, Filter Patch
  • Experience with process data historians such as OSI PI and Wonderware
  • Knowledge of and experience in applying mechanical precision maintenance fundamentals
  • Knowledge of big data analytics and its growing role in the industry

We anticipate paying $100K - 130K per year for this role.
