As a pivotal member of our Audio-Visual (AV) Engineering team, you will play a critical role in creating innovative AV solutions that empower collaboration and elevate user experiences. This role bridges technical expertise with client engagement, ensuring that every system we design is tailored, scalable, and future-ready.
What You'll Do: *Client Engagement & Sales Support:* * Collaborate with Sales Teams: Partner with our Sales teams during early-stage client interactions to understand project goals and technical requirements. * Site Surveys & Needs Assessments: Participate in site surveys, needs assessments, and solution presentations to prospective clients. * Technical Consultation: Provide expert technical consultation and articulate the value of our proposed AV solutions. *System Design & Engineering:* * Innovative System Design: Design comprehensive AV systems that integrate unified communications platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams), audio systems, LED video walls, camera switching, and collaboration tools. * Performance & Scalability: Ensure all designs meet performance, scalability, and usability standards while aligning with client expectations and budget. *Technical Documentation:* * Detailed Documentation: Develop detailed system documentation, including equipment lists, signal flow diagrams, infrastructure and cabling requirements, executive summaries, technical narratives, accurate cost estimates, and bill of materials (BOM). *Stakeholder Collaboration:* * Design Meetings: Attend and contribute to design meetings with clients, architects, consultants, and project managers. * Alignment & Feasibility: Ensure alignment between client vision, architectural constraints, and technical feasibility. What We're Looking For: *Skills:* * Audiovisual Expertise: Proficiency in audiovisual systems, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and blueprint reading. * Top Skills: Audiovisual, Zoom, MS Teams. *Qualifications & Experience:* * Experience: Minimum 5 years in AV system design or engineering roles. * Certifications: CTS-D and/or CTS-I preferred. * Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of AV signal flow, system integration, and control systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools is preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. * Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word). * Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confident in presenting to clients and stakeholders. * Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. * Teamwork: Collaborative mindset with a proactive, problem-solving attitude. This Role can sit in East Hartford CT, Wilmington MA, or Boston MA. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
