Overview

The Finance and Accounting Administrator (Intern) supports the operational activities of the Finance and Accounting Team that range in level of complexity, technology requirements and time frame. Reports to the VP of Finance and Accounting. NOTE this is an unpaid internship.



Responsibilities

F&A Support

    The Finance & Accounting Intern will assist the department and gain a wide range of accounting experience
  • Research, record, and reconcile daily transactions
  • Process accounts payable in compliance with the company's policies and procedures
  • Accurate and timely completion of all assigned monthly, quarterly, and year-end close tasks.
  • Prepare financial reports and statements
  • Assist other departments with requests
  • Ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and data-centric
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for learning and putting new knowledge into practice
  • Aptitude for technology and using software applications and systems to generate business value
  • Proactive, self-driven, and resourceful in solving issues and "unknowns"
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of applications


Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with fundamentals of gathering and documenting user requirements
  • Proficient in writing basic instructional documentation
  • Experience in testing of software or quality assurance
  • Proficiency as a user with Microsoft SharePoint and MS Teams
  • Experience creating new SharePoint and MS Teams Features
  • Familiarity with fundamentals of project management
