Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may also be assigned.

  • Manage incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure timely delivery
  • Review shipping documentation and ensure accuracy of information
  • Communicate with carriers and freight forwarders to arrange pick-up and delivery schedules
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliations
  • Create and maintain shipping and receiving reports for management review
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies in shipments or deliveries
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations related to shipping and receiving
  • Manage and organize warehouse space to optimize storage and minimize damage to products
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers, including answering questions and resolving issues related to shipping and receiving.

The individual in this position must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends when needed. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or equivalent is the minimum education requirement, an associate's or bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or supply chain management is preferred. Experience-wise, candidates should have previous work experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or transportation. Good organizational, communication, and computer skills are essential. Training on industry-specific software may be provided on the job. Some physical requirements may also be necessary, such as lifting heavy packages or operating a forklift.
