Summary: The ambulatory advanced practice provider (APP) is responsible for providing patient- and family-centered care that is consistently high-quality and cost effective to ensure optimal care outcomes for patients with cardiac diseases. Responsibilities: PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIIES: Delivers high-quality cost-effective care incorporating guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) in a timely Able to perform routine history and physical examinations integrating laboratory data EKG CXR stress testing echocardiograms and other diagnostic tests when frmulating ae plan of care in partnership with other members of the care team patients and families. Demonstrates interprofessional collaboration and participates in team-based care. Participates in procedures for billing and coding for medical services. Competent use of EHR and Lifechart. Participates in the continuous education and training clinical research and quality improvement initiatives. Participates in education training and mentoring of APP students and new employees. Provides leadership in the development validation implementation and evaluation of standards policies procedures and critical paths to support the patient care delivery model. Annually completes mandatory safety infection control BLS and ?ACLS (do we require this for ambulatory staff?). Prescriptive privileges per licensure. Other information: BASIC KNOWLEDGE: Graduated for a Physician Assistant program with a master*s degree and has current board certification from the NCCPA or graduated from a master*s program for nurse practitioners and has current board certification from ANCC or AANP.
