Purpose


At Electrolux North America, we are on a journey to provide our consumers with a simply outstanding experience across through all consumer touchpoints where this role supports aftermarket experiences such service and repair and is a critical player in delivering strategic priorities to deliver warranty cost reductions for North America.

We are now looking for a Warranty Controller as a part of the Consumer Direct Interaction organization within Electrolux NA. The Warranty Controller will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, delivering successful business results and process improvements by providing fact-based, financial insights and analytical reporting to enable sound decision making across the Warranty and Quality organizations.

Responsibilities

In this role you will drive warranty cost efficiencies and cost reductions by developing the necessary tools, processes and business acumen to successfully drive the financial controlling aspects of Warranty & Quality. You will collaborate closely with Peace of Mind and Quality business leaders both locally and globally as well as Cost Excellence Process leaders and global procurement to accomplish shared objectives. This position is responsible for forecasting and budgeting activities as well as effectively communicating trends and performing business analysis as it relates to warranty accruals, warranty policies, service call rates and mix adjusted variable costs. This position is also responsible for automating reports to generate business insights, coordinating month-end close activities, and to drive continuous improvement within the CDI Finance team.

Your main tasks will be to:

  • Act as true business partner to Warranty and Quality organizations with participation in total finance function from daily analysis and setting short-term goals to building long-term strategies and challenging the way we do business:
  • Evaluate & summarize Legal and Goodwill Warranty cost for actuals and forecast, providing executive level commentary for major drivers of performance with proposed actions for deviations to plan
  • Owner of the financial planning processes for Warranty business including monthly forecast, annual budget and strategic plan. Provide weekly snapshot of current month performance versus forecast with insights for corrective action as needed
  • Prepare critical financial insights monthly to support business decisions and drive accountability such as MAVC, Leverage Analysis and Service Call Rate Analysis by factory and product line
  • Drive cost excellence in Warranty operations through tracking of monthly spend, cost reduction initiatives and providing recommendations to business partners for efficiencies including direct responsibility for Warranty CEP financial analysis for all product lines
  • Drive change management for warranty through implementation of ConCenT platform and ensure adherence to global platform, adapting financial processes to new ways of working and ensure quality and accuracy of warranty results keeping stakeholders informed of impacts
  • Partner with the global and local quality directors to understand service call rate impacts, supplier recovery opportunities, gauge cost mitigating actions, and inform leadership of financial risks/opportunities
  • Work closely with Global Warranty Controller to ensure alignment of financial processes across warranty & quality and ensure adherence to Group policies and procedures and ensure accuracy of NA results
  • Propose actions that help improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business investments for quality organization to improve service call rate. Evaluate and present business cases to Executive Leadership
  • Coordinate the implementation of standardize tools and reporting to facilitate analysis across verticals such as product line and business segment, including key performance indicators necessary to cost reduction
  • Ad-hoc Reports and Presentations as needed by senior management

Previous Experience

  • Experience in manufacturing industry preferred
  • Experience with Power BI, MS SQL preferred

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Management
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial or product line finance, financial modeling and forecasting or related experience
