Position Summary: Collects and inputs data into departmental computer systems and provides support to the manager in a variety of tasks. Maintains accurate records Works as part of the team in fulfilling department objectives. As a successful candidate, you will:
- Performs data collection and entry from wide range of course source such as databases, documents, online content, and other data storage for an assigned set of projects
- Performs in-depth checks of summarized information for accuracy, uniformity, and completeness, implementing necessary edits and updates. Keep comprehensive and systematic records of the data abstraction process, including documentation of sources, methodologies, and any inconsistencies or challenges encountered
- Play a key role in spotting and correcting data inconsistencies, redundancies, or inaccuracies to uphold the integrity and dependability of the data
- Utilize City of Hope resources (computer, phone, office equipment) as directed by manager. Receives, handles, and transfers phone calls and messages within the department promptly and courteously.
- Provide concise summary of information to support data analysis and informed decision-making
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the summarized information aligns with project goals and specifications. Propose enhancements to the information summarization procedures, standards, and tools to increase efficiency, precision, and output
- Gain substantial professional experience as well as exposure to the City of Hope Organization. Develop a comprehensive perspective of the healthcare field.
- Prioritizes work and provides prompt and efficient service.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
- High School or equivalent
- Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements
- Three years secretarial experience, preferably in a health care setting
- Current California driver's license and good driving record for insurance purposes
