What You'll Do:
- Configure and structure quotes in Salesforce CPQ, collaborating with sales representatives to understand customer needs while ensuring alignment with internal policies, system capabilities, and company objectives
- Translate sales and marketing requests into viable quote structures, finding creative solutions within system & policy parameters
- Provide consultative guidance on CPQ system capabilities, and present alternative solutions when requests don't align with company objectives or technical constraints
- Configure specialized quote configurations when possible such as payment ramping, complex discounts, and custom billing schedules as requested by sales teams
- Work with our data quality and IT teams to optimize contract structure & improve quoting & buying experiences
- Shepherd quote through internal teams, from initial request to order review, providing support, guidance, and alternative options to improve sales velocity
- Handle sales inquiries and provide clarifications regarding quotes, including making adjustments based on seller feedback or changes in requirements.
- Contribute ideas to improve our quoting process
What You Need to Succeed:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in quoting, pricing, sales support, or a related role.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn about pricing and software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, including an ability to communicate across multiple departments with grace
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel); experience with Salesforce CPQ is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to tackle new challenges
- Basic understanding of business concepts like discounting and contract terms
- Positive, collaborative attitude when working with different teams
- Strong customer service mindset and willingness to "do what it takes"
- Preferred Skills (Optional but a plus):
- Industry-specific knowledge (e.g., manufacturing, IT services, construction).
