The Production Technologist, applies knowledge and skills to complete projects related to Production Engineering technology. The role performs complex tasks and supports the production engineering staff by completing projects involving the retrieval, preparation, processing, manipulation, and management of data. The role possesses an understanding of production, operating expenses, capital budgets, daily operations and reporting, well equipment and facility configurations, and cost justification. The role identifies opportunities for process optimization, technology adoption, and best practice implementation to maximize asset value. The role is pivotal in optimizing the performance of wells and ensuring the efficient operation of assets while maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

* Works under limited supervision and performs complex assignments such as maintaining files/records, performing calculations, and gathering/tabulating data.

* Leads, prioritizes, and completes complex, concurrent projects aligned with team/division goals, following project management standards, and demonstrating organizational consistency.
* Applies an understanding of terminology, applications, and standard procedures for performing the engineering technician job function.
* Mentors employees, providing technical training and support, while demonstrating extensive technical knowledge and originality in devising solutions to complex business and technical issues in production.
* Champions data quality efforts, creating sustainable reports, and recommending innovative solutions, and demonstrates acumen through extensive knowledge of production principles, industry practices, and standards.
* Works with engineers and more senior engineering technologists and applies intermediate and advanced skills in the application of relevant software packages.
* Leads report generation based on standard procedures and coordination of data retrieval, collection, loading, manipulation, and management, while working with other teams, disciplines or departments, as required.
* Evaluates, interprets, and summarizes data and document conclusions, researches well files and incorporates data into/generates reports from inhouse information databases and systems, and utilizes skill and judgment to solve highly complex problems independently.
* Leads monitoring and analysis of production data to identify trends and address production issues.

Education:
* Bachelor's Degree and/or commensurate work experience is required.

Experience:

* 6+ years of relevant experience, preferably in E&P Operations specializing in areas such as Production, Completions/ Workover Processes, and Artificial Lift, Rod Pump, Gas Lift, and/or Plunger Lift Operations. or a related field.

* Experience using WellView, PowerBI, Excel, Spotfire, ProdView, and SQL preferred
