The Producer manages day-to-day podcast operations, ensuring each episode is executed smoothly from concept to delivery. This role oversees guest booking coordination, schedules production timelines, and manages editorial support through research and scripting. The Producer also works closely with the EP on episode edits, pacing, and tone, while managing the show's social media presence and digital engagement strategy.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage production calendars and weekly recording schedules

  • Coordinate guest appearances with the booker; prepare pre-interview notes

  • Conduct research to support episode content and host prep

  • Collaborate on edits and sound design decisions

  • Oversee social media strategy in conjunction with EP

  • Monitor audience feedback and performance analytics

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • 5+ years' experience editing or producing all-news, or podcast programming

  • Communicate with internal teams in strategies to maximize audience and engagement, along with the creation of new weekly & daily content.

  • Highly skilled in writing and copy editing as you will be the editorial and technical lead on a multi-genre podcast portfolio

  • Strong digital journalism skills and social media experience

  • Ability to make the right decisions during breaking news situations as well as during routine shifts

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $74,000.00-100,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
