Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical UKG Pro Workforce Management (WFM) System Administrator to oversee the configuration, maintenance, and support of our UKG Pro WFM platform (formerly UltiPro/Kronos). This individual will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in workforce management technologies and processes, playing a key role in ensuring system reliability, performance, and alignment with evolving business requirements. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background, a thorough understanding of workforce systems, and the ability to manage complex integrations and system upgrades.
What you'll do:
- Configure and maintain UKG Pro WFM modules including Time and Attendance, Scheduling, Absence Management, Forecasting and Scheduling
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for all UKG WFM-related issues, upgrades, and support needs.
- Develop and maintain pay rules, work rules, scheduling patterns, accrual policies, and workflows.
- Monitor system performance and conduct troubleshooting; escalate and resolve issues with UKG Support as needed.
- Maintain system security settings, roles, permissions, and ensure data integrity and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Build and maintain interfaces and integrations between UKG Pro WFM and other internal systems (e.g., Pro Payroll, WorkJam, Oracle, Workday).
- Support or lead system upgrades, module implementations, and patch testing.
- Perform routine audits and data validations to ensure system accuracy.
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, Operations, and IT to gather requirements and implement effective system solutions.
- Document system configurations, standard procedures, and technical best practices.
- Develop and deliver training and documentation for end users.
- Stay informed of new UKG features, product updates, and industry best practices.
You should apply if you bring:
- Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field-or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience administering UKG Pro WFM or Kronos Workforce Central.
- Deep understanding of timekeeping, pay rules, labor compliance, and scheduling concepts.
- Strong technical skills with experience in APIs, Dell Boomi and SFTP integrations and protocols.
- Strong understanding of UKG Pro's API architecture, data structure, and available connectors for integrations.
- Proven experience working with WorkJam's APIs, data structures, and integration tools to connect with other systems, especially HCM or WFM tools.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, SOAP, JSON, and XML for seamless data transfer between WorkJam and UKG Pro.
- Ability to map and transform data between disparate systems to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Familiarity with tools like Zapier, Integromat, or other middleware solutions that facilitate WorkJam and UKG Pro data syncing.
- Proficient in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience with SQL, report writing tools (e.g., Cognos, BI), and advanced Excel skills.
- UKG certifications (e.g., UKG WFM Pro Certified Administrator) are highly desirable.
- Preferred:
- Experience supporting multi-location or enterprise-scale organizations.
- Familiarity with other UKG modules, such as Core HR or Payroll.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements related to timekeeping (e.g., FLSA).
Good-Faith Salary Range:
- The annual starting salary for this position is between $90,000 - 110,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
- This position is also eligible for bonus.
