As a key player, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing pipes and fixtures related to heating, cooling, water distribution, and sanitation systems in commercial structures. Pay & Schedule:

Pay Rate: $28-$34 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift

Employment Type: Full-Time/Direct Hire

Key Responsibilities:

• Study building plans to determine work aids required and the sequence of installations.
• Inspect structures to identify obstructions to prevent damage during installation.
• Mark positions for pipes and connections, cut openings in walls/floors, and assemble pipe systems.
• Install valves, fittings, and pipes made of various materials such as iron, steel, brass, and plastic.
• Perform tasks such as welding, brazing, and soldering to join pipes and fittings.
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures, including sinks, water heaters, hot water tanks, and water softeners.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, inspect drainage systems, and perform leak tests.
• Manage inventory, maintain tools and equipment, and ensure the shop area is organized.
• Troubleshoot and repair backflow devices and perform silver soldering on copper.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies at all times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Completed an apprenticeship program and ten years of related experience (or equivalent).
• Valid driver's license and state journeyman card.
• Master plumber license (if specified).
• Forklift and aerial equipment certification.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, technical procedures, and government regulations.
• Strong mathematical skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Experience with welding, high-pressure steam systems, and commercial plumbing.
• Ability to work in diverse environments, including hot, cold, and noisy settings.
• Physically able to lift/move up to 100 pounds and perform tasks requiring balance and coordination.
