At Parker, our team members belong, matter and make a difference. Functions and Responsibilities This position will report into Division Supplier Development. Support Supply Development in creating part family data by reviewing engineering drawings and translating engineering data into excel spread sheet. Gain experience with engineering specification, blueprint reading, material types and forms, to manufacturing method to making a part. Also, work with OEM Facility to identify all casting part numbers and casting methods. Some projects that will be included through the fall will be working with different Supply Chain professionals on different projects and will align current business needs and consider interests of the Intern. The Intern will also be assigned additional smaller projects or routine responsibilities in the function area of concentration for their Intern to develop professional knowledge and abilities. Perform assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities that will include cross functional experience. Perform daily/weekly responsibilities as assigned. Examples: Participate on, facilitate, and/or lead HPT's. (High Performance Teams) Develop standard work Participate in kaizen events Qualifications The ideal candidate will be a sophomore or junior majoring in Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related degree, have excellent clerical, writing, computer, and interpersonal skills, and be able to prioritize multiple tasks while working independently. Strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel. |
