Set up, adjust and operate multiple spindle automatic screw machines for a wide variety of parts involving such machining techniques as setting attachments, turning, threading, drilling, recessing, boring, thread rolling, forming, shaving reaming, etc.

  • Set-up, adjusts and operates Multiple Spindle Automatic Screw Machines on a wide variety of parts, involving such machining techniques as setting attachments, turning, threading, drilling, recessing, boring, thread rolling, forming, shaving, reaming, etc
  • Works from blueprints, operation sheet, or specifications in selecting cutting tools, gears and cams
  • Checks own set-up using a variety of precision measuring instruments
  • Makes necessary adjustments to produce parts within close limits where finish requirements are difficult to maintain
  • Checks parts produced with a variety of precision instruments, maintains tool and machine adjustments and sharpens and resets tools as required
  • Accountable for process, evaluation, measurement, documentation, and improvement on a continuous basis

Qualifications

  • 3 years minimum experience on setting up & operating multiple spindle screw machines
  • Proficient in the use of Statistical Process Control in maintaining quality standards
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers
  • Basic computer skills
