Independent set up and operation of various manufacturing equipment such as bubble point room, hot plates, laser marker, glue dispensers, etc. * Maintain a safe workplace for self and fellow team members via compliance of safety policies and procedures. * Produce product in timely manner while following all Quality system requirements * Good verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to read blue prints and follow engineering instructions. * Proficient in all types of equipment used in work area within 90 days of hire. * Computer skills: Ability to use labor clock within 10 days of hire. * Proficient in all aspects of inspection gages for the area after training period ends. * Proficient in all aspects of paperwork for the area within 30 days of hire. * Utilize Lean tools and be active participant in Lean events and High Performance Teams. * Participate in 5S activities per Manager request. * Troubleshoot problems as they arise; Strong problem solving skills. * Must be able to work and thrive in Team environment. * Must be able to work overtime when required including weekends. * Other assignments as assigned by Leadership. * Citizenship: US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien * Education: High School Diploma or equivalent * Vision: 20/25 vision corrected or uncorrected * Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing environment * Communication: For safety and quality, must be able to read, write & understand English * Mechanical Aptitude: Intermediate * Math skills - Basic skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, converting decimals to fractions * Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
