Position Summary:



The Alpha Safety summer intern will support cross-functional activities within the Business Development (BD), Marketing, and Bid & Proposal (B&P) teams. The role will provide hands-on exposure to the strategic and operational initiatives across Alpha Safety and its subsidiaries, contributing to market research, proposal development, branding initiatives, and sales support.



Job Description:



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Development



  • Assist with research on industry trends, competitor activity, and upcoming contract opportunities.
  • Support HubSpot (CRM) data entry and pipeline tracking, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Help prepare client-facing materials including capability statements, presentation decks, and white papers.
  • Attend internal BD meetings to track action items and provide support materials.



Marketing



  • Contribute to content development for digital platforms (website, LinkedIn).
  • Assist with the creation and formatting of marketing collateral.
  • Support coordination of tradeshow materials and conference logistics.
  • Help update branding templates and ensure brand consistency across subsidiaries.



Bid & Proposal Support



  • Assist in tracking RFP/RFI notices and organizing response timelines.
  • Support proposal development tasks such as formatting, document compilation, and compliance checks.
  • Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather input and consolidate technical content.



Administrative & Reporting



  • Maintain shared folders and naming conventions for organized access to deliverables.
  • Prepare weekly status updates for review by the VP.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned to support the team's priorities.


SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program (Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or related field preferred).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Interest in government contracting, safety systems, or the nuclear/industrial services sector is a plus.
