Compensation Grade: P25Compensation Details: Minimum: $95,599.00 - Maximum: $95,599.00 AnnuallyDepartment (OPH) PHEP - Office of Health Emergency PreparednessJob Description: In addition to the Compensation Details above, the incumbent in this position will be eligible to receive location pay ($4,000/year). Responsibilities Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and six years of relevant experience; OR eight years of relevant experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. Relevant experience required must be in emergency preparedness and planning and/ or response. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated experience establishing priorities and completing tasks within established timelines. Experience organizing, consolidating and preparing narrative and numerical information into clear, logical reports, using plain language. Experience analyzing written and published program material and drawing conclusions concerning its impact. Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills. Supervisory experience. Demonstrated experience effectively working both independently and as part of a team. Experience with pandemic influenza preparedness planning, goals and objectives, and/or experience in public health programs. Demonstrated experience in Incident Command System (ICS) and the Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP). Demonstrated emergency response capability and readiness, including public health preparedness initiatives in response to natural disasters and terrorism threats. Working knowledge of LHD preparedness responsibilities. Completion of ICS 100, 200, 700 & 800. Conditions of Employment Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel, up to 25% of the time, may be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire. Telecommuting will be available. This position may require occasional work on weekends, after-hours, and holidays. Exposure to potentially hazardous substances may be involved with this position.
