Responsibilities
- Support applications relating to raw materials procurement, orders, machine scheduling, production, product testing, finished goods inventory, invoicing and sales reporting.
- Respond to and implement requests from end users for changes to business processes and reporting.
- Troubleshoot break/fix issues with information systems by working with business users, vendors or application developers to resolve them.
- Define application problems by conferring with clients; evaluating procedures and processes. Works with Senior Analyst to propose business process changes to enhance and streamline current processes.
- Architect end-to-end solutions to medium to complex business problems/opportunities.
- Research emerging technologies to decide if installing them can increase the organization's efficiency and effectiveness
- Prepare an analysis of costs and benefits to decide if application upgrades are financially worthwhile.
- Develop solutions by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow options.
- Control solutions by establishing specifications; coordinating production with programmers. Leverages technology to improve business processes.
- Validate results by testing programs.
- Ensure operation by training plant personnel; providing support.
- Provide reference by writing documentation.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Work with a sense of urgency in solving issues, removing roadblocks and improving user experience.
- Manage project tasks on key initiatives, such as application upgrades/releases.
- Train and mentor new IT team members.
- Lead small to medium projects
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Related field.
- 4+ years of experience working in /with manufacturing principles and associated business processes.
- Experience configuring and working with integrated manufacturing systems.
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Customer service focused with the ability to positively interact directly with end users
- Excellent verbal, written and organizational skills
- High level of emotional intelligence; Demonstrated ability to prioritize
- Strong problem-solving skills; Team first mentality; Business and goal oriented
