Description

Responsibilities:

Shipping:


  • Efficiently stock production infeed lines
  • Keep take off lines clear to ensure no back-ups on the mainline
  • Load all morning LTL and MTL trailers
  • Plan and load needed transfers
  • Take out dock appointment print outs to the receiving desk
  • Complete all needed ASN's
  • Find missing or questionable units
  • Clear staging
  • Make needed moves in the yard in and out. Moving out trailers in shipping and receiving to ensure a smooth transition from 1st to 2nd
  • Complete daily inventories/ cycle counts
  • Unload trailers
  • Investigating tagging and loading issues.


Quality:



  • Verify all trailers that are going out in the AM for load accuracy and the load being secured.
  • Find and separate questionable loads that need to be reworked, re-unitized and/or re-banded.
  • Consolidate like items into 1 bin.
  • Do an aged inventory report and separate units that are over 180 days old into their own location.
  • Fix leaning stacks (safety and quality).
  • Receive in transit farm outs and complete the operation by clearing outside warehouse staging.
  • Record mistakes found and research on who was the responsible individual so we can address mistakes daily. Work closely with other shift leads to communicate issues that come up and training in areas needed to prevent those issues from repeating.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; some technical, logistics training preferred.
  • Possesses an understanding of freight carriers, customs regulations, waste disposal (hazardous / non-hazardous), relevant forms/logs, tools, and machinery such as forklifts. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Heavy lifting may be expected. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally may be required moving boxes and other components, but usually performed with assistance.
  • Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for many hours
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time
  • Experience with using cleaning equipment.
  • Background in handling finished product and WIP product.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards safety rules
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
