Baker College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty person to teach Introduction to Math- College Algebra for our Running Start Program at Buckley High School, near Traverse City, MI. Our Running Start program is tailored for students who are eager to get a "running start" on their college and career goals. Join the dedicated team at Baker College to support our high school students! The Running Start class will be held three days a week (flexible days) 8:10 AM-9:05 AM Tuesday, September 2nd-mid/late January. The preferred qualification for this position is a doctoral degree in mathematics, engineering, physics, or statistics. Required qualifications include a master's degree in mathematics or an acceptable subfield, which may include applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, or physics; alternatively, candidates may qualify with a master's degree in any field provided they have completed at least 18 graduate semester hours of mathematics content, including coursework from other disciplines with substantial mathematical focus. Another acceptable pathway is a master's degree in education along with secondary teaching certification (grades 6-12) in mathematics.
