Job Description
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operations of the Warehouse department, including administrative and clerical functions, to ensure efficient operations and a safe working environment. This is a working supervisor role which could include performing the following job functions: picking product, receiving, loading etc.
Job Duties:


  • Supervise warehouse processes to include shipping/receiving/auditing effectively.
  • Plan workload and manage resources to assure successful performance of required duties.
  • Provide training of required skills to associates (i.e. barcode scanners, work saver operation, warehouse layout, and pallet loading).
  • Ensure that shift is operating in a safe manner, enforcing all rules regarding material handling, equipment safety, etc.
  • Select, train, motivate, coach and counsel warehouse hourly personnel.
  • Maintain and evaluate order selecting efficiency and quality rates for each employee.
  • Maintain payroll, vacation and disciplinary records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • 3 to 5 years warehouse supervision or lead experience (Min. 3 years manufacturing supervision exp. helpful).
  • BA/BS preferred. Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate personnel.
  • Sound math and analytical skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills to include Word, Excel, and AS400. (Advanced skills preferred)
  • Strong initiative and ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to anticipate and resolve issues proactively.
  • Ability to effectively establish working relationships with various departments/supervisors/management.
