Overview:
The Greven group investigates the quantum many-body properties of correlated-electron materials, including oxide superconductors and systems that undergo Mott insulator-metal transitions. The group's research spans the wide range from single-crystal growth to sample characterization to sophisticated in-house measurements with newly developed probes (e.g., nonlinear magnetic response, strain cells) to neutron and synchrotron X-ray experiments at national laboratories.

Job Description
Quantum materials research in the Greven Lab involving crystal growth and characterization and various physical properties measurements, e.g., magnetization and charge-transport measurements.

The employee in this position will work up to 25 hours/ week.

Job Duties
This position will be responsible for the following duties:

30% Crystal growth and characterization
30% Physical property measurements
25% Data analysis
15% Research communication (reports & presentations)

Other duties of a similar scope as assigned.

Required Qualifications
B.S./B.A. degree in Physics or a related field

Preferred Requirements:
Prior research experience in condensed matter physics

Fixed Pay Rate: $15.25 per hour
