The Sourcing Specialist will collaborate with other Supply Chain team members as well as other Ascentek cross-functional departments to support existing and new business programs, strategic sourcing activities, commodity and purchase category management, supply chain analytics, supplier onboarding and performance management, and cost/margin management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Sourcing: Support Ascentek global strategic sourcing initiatives through researching and evaluating new suppliers, obtaining supplier pricing, logistics costs, and critical supplier item information through the RFQ process. Analyze supplier information to assist the Supply Chain team in making good business decisions. Support new and existing customer commercialization programs. Monitor global supply chain risk and communicate important information internally as needed.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Collaborate with our Global Sourcing Managers and Buyer/Planners to cultivate strong supplier relationships. This might involve scheduling supplier meetings, coordinating site visits, gathering necessary data for supplier performance management (KPI's) reporting, and maintaining communication channels to ensure smooth interactions between the Ascentek Supply Chain team and suppliers.
- Supplier Setup and Onboarding Process Management: Support new supplier setup and on-boarding within Ascentek's operating system. Ensure accurate and up-to-date suppler information, sourcing process documents, and regulatory compliance documentation. Handle ongoing communication with suppliers, addressing internal and external inquiries, resolving issues, and nurturing positive supplier relationships.
- Supplier and Materials Cost Management: In conjunction with the Global Strategic Sourcing Managers, track supplier cost fluctuations for direct raw materials, as well as other sourced goods and services to contribute to accurate pricing decisions, timely supplier negotiations, and improved cost management across spend categories.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize internal and external sources of data to provide supply chain specific reports and recommendations that support the decision-making process critical to Ascentek's sourcing strategy.
- Item Setup and ERP System Maintenance: Collaborate with the Supply Chain and Data Management departments to ensure accurate setup of new items in our operating systems, including, but not limited to, raw material cost, delivery terms, freight cost, and MOQ's. Manage item cleanup within Ascentek's operating systems, ensuring that system information is accurate and updated.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
Experience and/or Training:
- 1-5 years of experience in sourcing and procurement within the car wash install and service components, automotive parts and accessories, and manufacturing consumables
- Experience in supplier onboarding, evaluation, negotiation, and performance management
- Experience with supply chain contract management
- Familiar with managing or supporting supply chain projects
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with cross-functional groups
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Experience with ERP systems (JDE, Oracle, SAP) and procurement software
- Proficient MS Office application skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: The employee is expected to work from both Ascentek office location and remote work environment with a minimum of three-(3) in-office days per work week. The employee may be required to perform minimal travel (10%) to other Ascentek facilities, supplier sites, and/or industry related events as necessary. Where applicable, the employee may be required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The environmental requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $65,000 and $89,000 annually. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:
