Pay rate: $25.00 - $27.00, depending on experience and qualifications

Position Summary

The Finance Department at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science invites applications for a full-time Finance Assistant. The Finance Assistant will perform accounting, finance, and administrative duties for the Finance Department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Finance Department functional teams, including but not limited to, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Planning and Analysis, and Treasury. Specific support tasks may include:
  • Posting journal entries
  • Support cash handling in accordance with the Cash Management Policy
  • Support the administration of the travel/expense management system, SAP Concur
  • Prepare monthly account analysis, ensuring reconciling items are resolved timely
  • Perform budget or expense transfers
  • Provide back-up assistance to certain functions and processes
• Provide administrative support to Finance leadership (Controller, CFO) as requested
• Adhere to internal controls while driving continuous process and documentation improvement
• Create and maintain appropriate filing systems, including physical and electronic records
• Build strong relationships with departments across the University and Health Clinics
• Contribute to the success of the University by performing all other duties as assigned

Required Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Two years of experience in a related accounting position or related field

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree
• Higher education experience

• Ellucian/Colleague experience
