Pro-Active Engineering is currently seeking an Assembly Production Lead to work in our Box Build area. This position is responsible for supervising production employees within their assigned area while performing the work required for specific specialized assignments. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Essential Functions 1. Trimming, clipping, tinning of wires and leads. 2. Assemble wire harnesses and ribbon cables to PCB assemblies. 3. Final box build assembly using hand and power tools. 4. Solder thru-hole components and wires per IPC-A-610 class 2 standards. 5. In process inspection of thru-hole components to class 2 standards. 6. Adhere to the company's ISO Quality Management System. 7. Provide employee coaching and development within area. 8. Assign work daily for direct reports. 9. Review and disposition nonconforming product and determine appropriate resolution. 10. Work toward continuous improvement of assigned area. 11. Attend and report at daily production meeting. 12. Follow internal assembly process documentation ensuring product meets internal, customer, and regulatory requirements. Competencies Leadership Problem Solving/analysis Results Driven Communication Proficiency Organizational Skills Time Management Attention to Detail Teamwork Oriented Technical Capacity Required Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent (GED) Knowledge of electronic components and equipment. Ability to perform basic thru-hole component soldering on printed circuit boards to IPC standards. Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience with leading and/or supervising a staff Preferred Education and Experience Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent. Strong mechanical aptitude.
