Mechanical Engineering Technician

Position Summary:

Milacron is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Batavia, OH. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for working to solve technical problems and deliver engineering design solutions for Milacron's large tonnage injection molding machines.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm

Work You'll Do:

• Work to solve technical problems and deliver engineering solutions, including but not limited to modifications of sheet metal fabrications, structural fabrications, hydraulic piping applications, etc.
• Convert customer requirements into design modifications of standard machine platform
• Contribute to team goals and continuous improvement; later including to mentor and provide guidance to other newer associates
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, and other functional groups

Team:

The Mechanical Engineer will join a dedicated team of 5 engineers, specializing in design alterations of large tonnage injection molding machines, and reporting directly to the Lead Engineer.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related, or equivalent combination of education and design experience
• Ability to successfully support multiple design cycles
• Knowledge of machine safety/ANSI standards
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic circuits

Preferred Qualifications:

• Plastics industry experience
• Experience using Creo/PDM software or equivalent
• Working knowledge of ERP tools, specifically E1
