Weinberg Intensive Care Unit (WICU) Weinberg 3A is a 20 bed Adult Surgical/Oncology intensive care unit. This unit is grounded in teamwork as well as Patient and Family Centered Care. The WICU has won the AACN Beacon Award and is also recognized by the SCCM for the Family Centered Care Innovation Award.

The Advanced Practice Provider, APP (Acute Care NP or Physician Assistant) practices within the guidelines of the unit department, and institution and in accordance with the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Written Agreement required and approved by the State of Maryland.

Shifts: 3 per week 13.5 hour day / evening / night rotating shifts; some weekend work required

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant, PA program or MSN, DNP as an Acute Care NP.
• National Certification as a PA or APRN.
• Licensure as a PA or APRN in the state of Maryland. Active Maryland or Compact RN and CRNP license are required.
• Minimum of two years of APP ICU experience in a similar acute care hospital. Will consider PAs who were in a Critical Care Residency. New grad. NPs with ICU RN experience will be considered.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, with a commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

• BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted

Salary Range: Minimum $53.15/hour - Maximum $82.38/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
