The McKenzie-Elliott School of Nursing is dedicated to carrying out the mission of the College of Health Sciences and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. As an integral academic unit of the University, the McKenzie-Elliott School of Nursing is committed to the tripartite roles of teaching, research, and community service that contribute to the cultural, intellectual, and social development of professional nurses in North Carolina and the nation. The Associate Dean of the McKenzie-Elliott School of Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke serves as the chief academic officer providing visionary leadership for the nursing programs, faculty and students. The Associate Dean reports to the Dean of the College of Health Sciences and is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the McKenzie-Elliott School of Nursing, and for enhancing its core missions of learning, discovery, and engagement. The Associate Dean maintains oversight of disciplinary partnerships, initiatives, and projects. The Associate Dean prioritizes excellence in program design across all deliveries at the undergraduate and graduate levels and is committed to stewarding the history of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and the School of Nursing programs while remaining focused on continuous innovation and growth.
