Compensation Grade: H97Compensation Details: Minimum: $29.50 - Maximum: $29.50 HourlyDepartment (OPH) CCH - Division of Chronic Disease PreventionJob Description: Responsibilities The Hourly Project Specialist will work in the Bureau of Cancer Prevention and Control, Comprehensive Cancer Control Program and support community engagement in the New York State Cancer Consortium and Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan. This position will support communications efforts related to the Consortium, its members and the Cancer Plan. Responsibilities include engaging with partners to identify community priorities related to cancer, supporting development of Consortium activities and communications that address these priorities. This position will support work to identify what Consortium members and partners are doing to address the burden of cancer in their communities and support them in promoting and disseminating their successes. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of experience contributing to the coordination of program activities in a public health, health, health regulatory, or human services related program; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and four years of such experience; OR six years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated experience:
Conditions of Employment Hourly, grant funded position expected to last through 6/29/2025. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel up to 25% of the time will be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.
