Closing Date: May 19th, 2025, or upon receipt of the first 50 applicant submissions Bridge Crew Lead Department: Department of Transportation - Highway Maintenance Full-time, Hourly Hourly Range: $28.59 - $32.84/hr Job Summary The primary duties of this position will be to assist the Bridge Crew Supervisor with hands-on training of the 6 Highway Maintenance Workers, who assist our Masons and electricians on a daily basis, deploy them according to what the job needs are, and determine/prepare equipment for the various jobs. The position's shift hours could vary from one day to the other depending on the type of road closure needed to perform the necessary maintenance. In addition, this lead maintenance worker will be the primary operator of the cement mix truck, which requires extensive knowledge of not only the computer systems that produce the cement mix but also requires expertise in deciding the type of cement mix needed for the application (bridge, curb, block work, etc..) which is constantly changing according to weather. Work Schedule: Employee must have regular and frequent on-call availability to work irregular, unpredictable, and particularly long hours as needed. Availability to workdays, evenings, nights, overtime, shift rotations and weekends is also required. Job Responsibilities

Additional Comments The Highway Bridge Crew Lead will be assisting the Highway Maintenance Supervisor assigned to the Highway Bridge Crew daily. This includes prioritizing workloads, maintaining accurate tool and material inventories, scheduling training to new staff on equipment, tools, and procedures. The Highway Bridge Crew Lead will be the lead laborer and set performance standards as it pertains to the daily job duties of the Highway Bridge Crew.
