Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor directs day-to-day warehouse operations for M1 Support Services, ensuring timely
and accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials in compliance with defense-contract requirements
and company policies. The role oversees a team of warehouse technicians, drives inventory accuracy, enforces
safety standards, and champions continuous improvement initiatives to optimize space, cost, and service levels.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Warehouse Operations
* Oversee all inbound/outbound activities, including verification of quantities, part numbers, and
documentation.
* Coordinate staging, packing, and shipping to internal and external customers, ensuring on-time delivery.
* Maintain organized storage layouts and optimize space utilization through slotting and flow-through
strategies.
Inventory Control
* Execute daily cycle counts, monthly reconciliations, and root-cause analysis of variances.
* Monitor shelf-life, lot tracking, and traceability requirements for aviation and defense materials.
* Use the company's ERP/WMS to update transactions, generate reports, and track key performance
metrics.
Personnel Management
* Lead, schedule, and coach a team of warehouse employees (5-15 techs), including onboarding
and cross- training.
* Conduct performance reviews, establish goals, and foster a positive, accountable work environment.
* Enforce time-and-attendance, conduct, and safety policies consistently.
Safety & Compliance
* Ensure OSHA, DOT, DLA, and DoD regulations are followed, including HAZMAT storage and handling.
* Champion 5S/6S housekeeping standards and lead daily safety briefings and incident investigations.
* Maintain all required documentation for audits and customer inspections.
Continuous Improvement
* Analyze KPIs (e.g., pick accuracy, inventory turns, order cycle time) and implement corrective actions.
* Lead Kaizen events to reduce waste, improve material flow, and enhance process efficiency.
* Collaborate with Procurement, Production, and Quality to resolve material issues and support program
needs.

Qualifications and Experience:
Education
* High school diploma or GED (associate degree in Supply Chain or related field preferred).
Experience
* 5+ years progressive warehouse experience, with 2+ years in a supervisory/lead role.
* Demonstrated proficiency in ERP/WMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP, or similar).
* Forklift and material-handling equipment certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
* Ability to pass a background check and obtain/maintain DoD security clearance if required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* Working knowledge of inventory control principles, shipping documentation, and HAZMAT regulations.
* Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
* Proficient in MS Office Suite; able to analyze data and create clear, actionable reports.
* Excellent verbal/written communication and customer-service orientation.
* Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Working Conditions:
* Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs; use of ladders and forklifts.
* Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise.
* Personal protective equipment (PPE) required (safety shoes, eye protection, etc.).
* Occasional overtime or weekend work to meet mission-critical deadlines.
