L.A. LIVE's Peacock Theater hosts more than 120 music, family, dance and comedy acts, award shows, televised productions, conventions, and product launches with more than 500,000 guests passing through the doors annually.

Located across the street from Crypto.com Arena, the 7,100-seat theater opened in October 2007 with six sold out shows featuring the Eagles and The Chicks. Peacock Theater has since hosted concerts by artists like Alan Jackson, Charlie Wilson, Juan Gabriel, Aretha Franklin, Ed Sheeran, John Fogerty, Gabriel Iglesias, Marc Anthony, John Legend, Neil Young, Kelly Clarkson, Rush, Yanni, Nicki Minaj, Juanes, as well as The "American Idol" Finale shows, Michael Jackson's This is It, Straight Outta Compton, The Hunger Games and Twilight movie premieres and more.

Peacock Theater is also home to the Primetime Emmy Awards and BET Awards, and has previously hosted the American Music Awards, ESPYs, Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards, People's Choice Awards, Radio Disney Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, MTV Movie Awards and a pair of Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies.

Job Summary:

The Box Office Supervisor reports under the general direction of the Peacock Theater Box Office management team and will work varied hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on required needs for the event. The Box Office Supervisor supervises ticket sellers and provides event and office support to box office management.

Essential Functions:



  • Produce ticket seller information and event sheets for department staff
  • Assign duties and windows for ticket sellers and Will Call personnel
  • Supervise the ticket selling and Will Call staff
  • Assist management with troubleshooting
  • Produce Will Call drop off grids for event personnel
  • Provide breaks and event support when needed
  • Perform post-event duties
  • Assist the Box Office Coordinator with processing Group Sales orders
  • Maintain sellers count room, making sure supplies are stocked, important staff info is posted, and maintain cleanliness
  • Keep inventory of ticket stock and Will Call envelopes
  • Provide event and office support to box office management


Required Qualifications:



  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • A minimum of 3 years of related work experience, including 1-2 years in ticket selling
  • Strong computer skills with a proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with box office operations, customer service techniques, computer operations, cash handling procedures
  • Ability to engage in positive interaction with staff and guests
  • Ability to work well with multiple departments to ensure operation efficiency and success
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain organization, and motivate staff
  • Ability to problem solve, delegate tasks, follow-up, communicate, professionally diffuse volatile situations
  • Exceptional interpersonal and guest/client service skills
  • Ability to work well with different personalities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Management or supervisory experience.
  • Previous experience with Back Office, AXS Event Tool and APEX software is preferred.


Pay Scale: $23.17 - $33.79
