This combined team, in collaboration with key partners, builds solutions to serve Marketing, Customer Engagement, Medical Affairs, Public Affairs & Access ("CMG"), and other patient- and customer-facing teams across CMG to shape and drive a seamless, consistent, meaningful, and compliant experience for patients and customers across our interactions. The team is specifically accountable for:

  • Defining omnichannel solutions, shaping engagement strategies, designing, operationalizing, and producing seamless, consistent & meaningful patient and customer experiences.

  • Accelerating, connecting, and enabling the development of digital solutions that enhance the patient and customer experience across CMG.

  • Advancing the mission of seamless, consistent & meaningful patient and customer experiences that maximize patient impact while keeping compliance at the forefront.

Job Summary

The Production Team Lead, Web / Mobile is responsible for leading the production and delivery of web and mobile products and campaigns to ensure seamless, high-quality patient and customer experiences across marketing and medical domains. The role involves managing a team of production managers driving on-time business delivery, providing strategic planning inputs, and championing a data-driven approach to product and campaign production. They will also stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends to enhance channel/program campaign effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee product and campaign delivery to ensure seamless execution.

  • Accountable for timely, high-quality, and high-satisfaction patient and customer experiences.

  • Manage and oversee activation of campaign and above-campaign strategies / customer engagement plans into impactful patient and customer experiences.

  • Drive on-time business delivery by coordinating with cross-functional enterprise teams.

  • Recommend planning and campaign optimization inputs to align campaign strategies with business goals.

  • Provide digitally-forward product planning and optimization inputs and actions to improve product performance, efficiency, and capacity.

  • Help shape and pull through pilots to test and refine new initiatives.

  • Provide strategic input during product planning to ensure operational feasibility and resource alignment.

  • Champion an omnichannel data-driven approach to product and campaign production.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of product and campaign production managers, fostering an exemplary employee experience, including a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

  • Provide onboarding, guidance, training, and career development opportunities for production team members.

  • Actively manage capacity planning and team resourcing needs to allocate resources effectively to ensure balanced workloads and optimized team performance and business impact.

  • Ongoing and annual performance management and rewards and recognition of all direct reports, cultivating an environment of both accountability and performance-based incentives.

  • Coach team on implementing SEO strategies to enhance website visibility and user engagement.

  • Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and best practices in web and mobile content management.

  • Coach, manage, and allocate work across both Genentech and Near-shore Roche Services & Solutions (RSS) resources in order to maximize effectiveness across the portfolio of products.

  • Comply with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Genentech activities.

  • Drive executional adherence to OneTrust and other privacy regulations impacting web and mobile platforms.

Who You Are

Minimum Candidate Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 5 years in campaign operations, marketing production, or omnichannel execution, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality business outcomes on time.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience in coaching, developing, and inspiring talent (direct or indirect).

  • Experience managing end-to-end omnichannel or multichannel program / campaign execution, including integrating digital and offline channels.

  • Experience with web platform technologies

  • Proven ability to oversee planning, resource allocation, and campaign optimization to drive business impact.

  • Strong project management skills to lead operational delivery and ensure efficient resource utilization.

  • Analytical fluency to evaluate performance and recommend actionable optimizations.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to align cross-functional teams and enterprise stakeholders.

Additional Desired Candidate Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience managing near shore or off-shore teams

  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.

  • Experience activating campaign & above-campaign strategies into channel experiences and leading product or campaign optimization pilots.

  • Familiarity with omnichannel systems and tools used for workflow, campaign automation, CRM, etc.

  • Proven success managing vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with SLAs and regulatory standards.

  • Expertise in balancing strategic planning with tactical execution in complex environments.

  • Advanced proficiency with marketing automation tools and analytics platforms.

  • Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks in campaign management.

  • Demonstrated ability to innovate and scale pilots through implementation and pull-through.

  • Experience with SEO tools and analytics to drive web performance.

  • Experience with web platform technologies including web content personalization

  • This position is based in South San Francisco, CA

  • Relocation Assistance is not available

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is 170,730 - 243,900 - 317,070. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
