We are looking for an Advisor Physical Security who will be responsible for supporting Enterprise Security access control, intrusion and video management system design and administration. This will include configuration management, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting to maintain system integrity as well as designing and managing contractors through the project lifecycle. What you will do:

  • Provide onsite and remote technical assistance to locations for all their physical security technology needs

  • Using your Advanced technical knowledge on how access control, camera systems, and IDS systems are installed, wired and function, you will engage with internal and external teams and build out the Genetec program for those sites

  • Collaborate with internal teams to get network, computer and accounts provisioned

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to assess and resolve security system issues by diagnosing the issues remotely then developing and executing a remediation plan

  • Using your field knowledge as well as Enbridge standards and specifications, you will need to assess the quality of the installation and then prepare a deficiency report

  • Proficient with Bluebeam or similar CAD tools that will be used to update and develop as built and typical drawings

  • Read and interoperate blueprints and programming sheets

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or Telecommunications with a minimum of 4 years of experience. For those candidates who do not possess a degree, an additional 3 years of related experience is required.

  • 4 years' experience with physical security systems programming and administration with a security integrator is preferred

  • Hands-on experience with physical security systems, including access control, digital and analog video surveillance, visitor management and intrusion detection

  • Leads with Ethics and Integrity

  • Agile growth mindset that can manage multiple people, projects, tasks and communications simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail

  • Organized and efficient at time and task management

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment with some travel requirements within Canada and United States.

  • Fast-paced work environment, requiring balancing the constraints of multiple simultaneous projects with hard deadlines and the needs of a significant number of stakeholders.

  • Be available for off-hours contact to provide support for critical issues.

Physical Requirements:
Include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
