Scope of Work:

The Sr. Accounting Manager will be responsible for oversight and management of Accounts Receivable and Cash Management functions. In addition, this position will be responsible for the overall invoicing, collection and cash application activities and timely management of all AR aging components. The Sr. Accounting Manager will also maintain and improve sustained cash flow through diligent and aggressive monitoring of our customer accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the activities of the A/R staff, invoicing, establishing reserves, etc.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the AR department; create, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and controls, manage and streamline billing and collection process and cash application functions for the company.
  • Assists in monitoring, tracking, and enforcing department policies, procedures and goals while identifying inefficiencies and propose, develop, and document new concepts and procedures.
  • Manage the monthly AR close process including billed and unbilled account reconciliations.
  • Daily review of collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding and reduce collection cycle times (DSO) where possible.
  • Monitor aging balances and recommend write offs.
  • Manage information requests during year-end audits.
  • Work with staff to prioritize work and ensure staff is trained on policies and procedures. Ensure work is accurate and is being processed in a timely manner.
  • Implement monetary policies, overseeing cash flow operations.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and cash forecasts.
  • Oversee budgetary processes and analyze budget variances.
  • Track key metrics and trends.
  • Assist staff in researching and handling more complicated transactions and problems.
  • Special projects and tasks as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to Interact proactively and collaboratively with all levels of the organization including executive leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with CFO and Controller on plans for model development and enhancements.
  • Help research and communicate results comparing actual vs forecast and plan to senior executives monthly with insight on main drivers/trends.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
