Description

TRISTAR is seeking a Security Coordinator for our Corporate Office in Bloomington, IN

  • The Security Coordinator will be responsible for laboratory maintenance, inventory, audits conducted on government furnished property (GFP), and overall cleanliness of the lab
  • Will be effective in communicating with government customers, TRISTAR senior leadership, subcontract partners, and TRISTAR employees

Position Responsibilities:

  • Record keeping, recording & documenting all GFP associated with the project and space
  • Receiving and delivery. Review shipping documents to ensure accuracy
  • Create documentation for moving assets to other locations
  • Perform audits on GFP and any other items that need to be tracked and audited
  • Maintain accountability for inventory items
  • Keep secure area clean
  • Ensure all materials are properly designated and easily identifiable
  • Ensure materials are put away and areas are clean to avoid controlled information is properly stored, locked up, and put away
  • Ensuring cable management is well taken care of
  • Assist in moving items to and from the lab
  • Knowledge of special handling caveats and ITAR restrictions pertaining to foreign nationals attending classified meetings and facility access
Requirements
  • Have had previous experience working in classified environments in either a government, military, or contractor capacity
  • Have a working knowledge of security protocols and regulations concerning the safeguarding, transportation, and destruction of classified material
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience (Word, Excel, Office 365)
  • Accurate record keeping
  • Willingness to take ownership and ensure items are properly received, sent, counted, inventoried, and overall maintained
  • Communicate with a cross-functional team efficiently and effectively
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • An Active Secret Clearance is required or the ability to obtain one

Education and Certification:

  • AS/BS Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Degree requirement may be waived with a minimum of 5 years of job specific experience
