The successful candidate:

The quality regulatory preparedness manager is responsible for ensuring the organization complies with accreditation and regulatory affairs standards. This position will support the clinical quality operations team in the overall development, implementation, and surveillance of clinical quality processes and workflows to ensure compliance with all new and existing regulatory requirements. Responsible for staying up to date with federal and state regulatory requirements relevant to healthcare interoperability standards and providing timely updates and guidance on changes and potential impact affecting the healthcare quality performance programs. This position provides the connection between healthcare clinical federal and state regulatory programs, the technology required to implement and support and the expected clinical quality outcomes.

Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: BS/BA healthcare-related professional

  • Minimum Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience in healthcare regulatory compliance, clinical quality, clinical informatics, or other IT related; or other related healthcare profession; healthcare experience required.

  • Preferred Education: BS/BA in nursing preferred

  • Pref. Certification/Licensure: Certification in Clinical Informatics preferred

  • Preferred Experience: 3 years of work specific to healthcare federal regulatory compliance for health systems

  • Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of CMS/TJC interoperability requirements for healthcare compliance (CMS IPPS hospital PI objectives and measures, CMS HIQR eCQMs, CMS MIPS PI Objectives and measures, MIPS eCQMs and registry-submitted quality measures, etc.). Knowledge and practical experience with Healthcare Data Exchange standards including data and terminology standards such as NOWMED CT, ICD, CPT, LOINC, UCUM and RXNorm. Ability to understand relevant state requirement primarily Arizona, Georgia, Illinois and understanding of provider and payor processes.

  • Software: Ability to navigate federal and state reporting electronic systems; electronic health record (EPIC)

  • Working / Environmental Conditions: Remote Position

  • Physical Demands: Prolonged sitting, talking, hearing, near acuity ability to see clearly
