Responsibilities

Hanover Hill Behavioral Health, located in Bethlehem, PA, opening in late fall 2025, is seeking an experienced HR Director to join our leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team while working in a state-of-the-art facility, including EPIC.

Hanover Hill Behavioral Health combines two leaders in health care, in the partnership of Universal Health Services & Lehigh Valley Health Network. This 144-bed free standing behavioral health facility will offer the community high-quality behavioral health care services for seniors, adults and adolescents.

The Director of Clinical Services provides clinical leadership and coordination of multidisciplinary services in a fast-paced inpatient setting. This role requires strong operational agility and experience working in inpatient behavioral health or medical/surgical settings. This person will also be responsible for planning, supervising, and monitoring treatment services, while ensuring quality outcomes for patients and their families.

Hours are based on departmental and facility needs and may include day, evening and weekend hours, as directed by the CEO.

Qualifications

  • State of Pennsylvania Master's level Licensure as LCSW
  • Ensures the use of person-centered planning and monitors the effectiveness of the multi-disciplinary treatment team process. Communicates and collaborates with other service providers both internally and externally for continuum level of care coordination.
  • Monitors patient and family satisfaction and treatment outcomes.
  • Monitors staffing levels and workload assignments for the case managers, therapists and activity staff.
  • Recommends continuing education credits and training related to the population served at the facility.
  • Provides departmental orientation and training for new hires.
  • Monitors and guides the performance of the clinical services team.
  • Reviews and monitors all applicable regulatory and accrediting body requirements and assures compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director, Director of Nursing, Director of Intake, Director of PHP, and all other applicable stakeholders to plan, develop and coordinate and implement best care practices.
  • Develops, implements and coordinates daily service provision for group and milieu management services, in accordance with a model of active treatment.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Human Resources to monitor and ensure that all required licensure, certifications and employee training needs are met.
  • Fulfills the duties of Administrator on Call, providing after hours, on-call coverage for administration, as assigned by the rotating Administrator On-Call schedule.
  • Completes accurate and timely documentation for every patient interaction
  • Attends and participates in all assigned meetings.
  • Reports all safety concerns upon discovery to a supervisor, Loss Control Coordinator, Maintenance and/or Environment of Care (EOC) Committee member.
  • Abides by the Hospital's Safety policies. If injured, complete Employee Accident Report and submit it to the Loss Control Coordinator by the end of the shift worked, and no later than 24 hours after the injury occurred and abides by the Return to Work/Light Duty Program guidelines. If it is a work-related injury and it results in a back injury, completes Back Injury Prevention Training with the Staff Development Coordinator.
  • Meets all annual competency requirements as assigned per department standards, including age-specific growth and development competencies.
