Responsibilities The Director, Patient Care provides oversight and direction in establishing and maintaining a system for developing, reviewing, approving and disseminating standards of clinical practice, such as quality, education, advanced practice and clinical operations within their respective division, as well as the medical center. This includes, but is not limited to, making recommendations on policy issues and technology needs regarding clinical practice, identifying opportunities to attain superior quality and safety at the best cost, implementing solution sets and ongoing evaluations of performance, as well as planning, directing and evaluating operational performance of the division. Norton Scott Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Scottsburg, Indiana, has been providing care to Scott County and its neighboring communities since 1959. Fully accredited by The Joint Commission, the 93,852-square-foot medical facility features private rooms with private baths. Norton Scott Hospital has a 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department and provides a comprehensive list of inpatient and outpatient services, including pharmacy; cardiac rehabilitation; laboratory services; dietary services; physical therapy; medical imaging; medical/surgical and telemetry services; nuclear medicine and CT; endoscopy and general surgical services. The hospital also has a swing bed program, which allows patients the opportunity to receive continued care so they can transition safely from hospital to home.
