Aon's Enterprise Client Group (ECG) is responsible for managing the firm's largest global client relationships. We're seeking a versatile and collaborative Marketing Leader to help shape and deliver a strategic marketing plan that supports the ECG's growth agenda and enhances how Aon shows up and drives impact with this important targeted client segment.

What the day will look like

In this role, you'll work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Commercial Officer of ECG, the Strategic Marketing team, and the Marketing Director for Industry to build and activate messaging, content, and thought leadership that reflect the depth of Aon's capabilities and resonate with the priorities of enterprise-level clients. You'll play a central role in helping to orchestrate marketing efforts across channels - content, events, social, media, and more - ensuring a consistent and compelling narrative across everything we do.

The Growth Marketing Leader, Enterprise Client Group, will work closely with our Risk Capital and Human Capital Marketing teams and with colleagues across our Marketing & Communications Centers of Excellence to deliver a highly coordinated, globally aligned and consistent Aon United program that drives Aon's overall market position and a consistent and unified client experience.

  • Lead the ECG Strategic Marketing Plan: Develop and execute a marketing plan that supports the Enterprise Client Group's commercial strategy, reflecting Aon United priorities and aligned to key growth areas.
  • Liaise with ECG business leaders to understand key growth priorities based on client need and to develop and messaging.
  • Shape and Deliver Messaging and Positioning: Work with Risk Capital and Human Capital marketing leaders to define messaging frameworks that articulate Aon's differentiated value to large clients. Ensure alignment across regions, industries, and solution lines.
  • Create and Curate Compelling Content: Develop engaging, insight-driven content that reflects client needs and showcases Aon's capabilities - from leadership narratives and campaign copy to articles, and toolkits.
  • Activate Across Channels: Collaborate with Aon's Marketing & Communications Centers of Excellence to drive marketing activity across social media, webinars, media engagement, digital content, and strategic events.
  • Support Client Engagements and Campaigns: Partner with the Events & Partnerships CoE to shape the ECG event strategy, ensuring meaningful client engagement opportunities and consistent experiences. Leverage content and messaging in support of flagship events, workshops, and activations.
  • Collaborate to Tell a Stronger Aon Story: Connect the dots across the firm - working closely with colleagues in Risk Capital, Human Capital, Insights, and within regions to help Enterprise Client Leaders deliver a unified Aon narrative to clients.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 10+ years of professional marketing experience with a proven track record of driving strategies and campaigns to achieve successful outcomes and desired revenue opportunities. Utilize business analytics, measurement, and dashboards to inform decision-making and optimize performance.
  • Exceptional skills in researching, copywriting, proof-reading and constructing effective messaging to position offerings.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and grammatical skills and experience developing compelling and actionable content for a variety of audiences and a demonstrated ability to distil complex topics into digestible content for multiple mediums.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with teams in complex, matrixed environments, and navigate successfully across a corporate/business unit structure and regions.
  • Ability and willingness to perform both strategic and tactical elements of the role with a high degree of proficiency.
  • Demonstrated success in influencing and partnering with senior leaders and C-level executives on strategic issues.
  • Strong understanding of business dynamics both internally and externally, including market impact, competitive landscape, and other pressures.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to execute programs with speed, accuracy, and efficiency.

Pay Transparency Laws

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $135,000 - $150,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, Illinois. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
