AON is looking for Health & Benefits AVP - Private Equity - Hybrid located in (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Irvine, or Seattle)

What the day will look like

  • As an Assistant Vice President, you are the Account Executive leading strategy and client relationships for mid to small Private Equity health solutions clients. This position will support revenue growth and expansion of assigned book of business and will require exceptional management of client relationships at the executive level.

Additionally, the Assistant Vice President will:

  • Maintain and grow the client relationship through excellent service and expanding the types of services delivered to the client
  • Manage ongoing client relationship and internal consulting team
  • Display an in-depth understanding of the Health and Benefits marketplace, as well as Aon's Health and Benefits practice
  • Develop employee benefits strategies, lead sophisticated benefits consulting projects, manage vendors, develop client reports, lead external meetings and internal resource coordination
  • Participating as needed on internal projects and initiatives that advance the knowledge and skills of Aon's Health and Benefits practice
  • Possess experience and expertise in benefit plan design, rate analysis, strategy, RFP development and response review, insurance carrier negotiations, stewardship report preparation, benchmark analysis, client financial analysis and reporting and carrier contract reviews
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal collaboration skills
  • Exhibit leadership in business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutions
  • Conducts meetings, monitor, and execute deliverables and accountabilities based on project scope and statement of work.
  • Works individually or with other support resources to finalize projects.
  • Articulate findings to clients, and work with them in a consultative manner.
  • Resolves client issues at appropriate levels and informs other team members of pertinent issues.
  • Oversee vendor negotiations and provide technical coaching to other team members
  • Act as strategic resource for consultants
  • Exhibit thought leadership-understand and be able to articulate ideas to clients

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Eight plus years of experience in the group health and benefits industry with a strong working knowledge of benefits
  • Three plus years of Mergers & Acquisitions Human Capital management (desired)
  • Strong face to face presentation skills.
  • Strong compliance knowledge in the Health and Benefits industry
  • Strong team building and development skills
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience
  • Must have appropriate insurance license/life and health

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $150K to $180K annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of State/Region. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
