The Department of Health Information Management for Mental Health at Johnson County Government has a current opening for an Electronic Health Record (EHR) Business Analyst. The EHR Business Analyst position is responsible for Electronic Health Record system and business analysis of all types leading to development, interpretation and communication of data used in making decisions regarding systems, processes and alternatives. Additionally, this position is responsible for evaluation and coordination of EHR software updates to the myAvatar system with business and technical teams. The ability to perform data mining, manipulation and reporting using SQL, Crystal Reports and similar reporting tools is desired. Vital to this position is the ability to understand the behavioral health business and key drivers of results while challenging assumptions and gathering information to create thorough analyses, including but not limited to process efficiency, client outcomes, financial information, and identification of potential issues. This candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with various individuals throughout the organization. First review of applications will be May 16th. Maintains effective communication and good working relationships with employees at all levels of the County and customers outside the department in all key functional areas.
Job Requirements Associate's degree in the following fields(s) of study: Computer Science, Business Administration, or a relevant field and four years business analyst, project management, system analyst or related experience are required. Bachelor's degree in the following field(s) of study: Computer Science, Business Administration, or a relevant field, experience with electronic health records systems and experience working with a community mental health organization is preferred. Experience with myAvatar a plus. Experience can substitute for education. Education can substitute for experience. |
