Electro Mech Technician

Responsibilities:

• Recognize and resolve equipment problems promptly to minimize the effect on production schedules.
• Troubleshooting and repair of pneumatic, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems of plant processes & equip.
• Maintains the Preventative Maintenance program and perform equipment preventive maintenance tasks (PM's).
• Complete housekeeping tasks by end of shift (6S).
• Provide direction & training to others in maintenance & operation of equipment.
• Meet established safety, quality, & productivity standards by adhering to procedures.

Qualifications:

• Two-year Associates degree/trade school in an electrical or mechanical education, OR 5 years prior work experience in an electrical or mechanical field OR Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of the facility and manufacturing machine operations - specifically pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and electrical understanding.
• Ability to convert concepts into reality through basic plan/design, source/fabrication, and assembly/installation.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, multi-site operation. Be available on-call 24/7 as scheduled or needed.
• Must be computer literate. Experiences with PLC, CMMS, Design, SCADA/HMI a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; Valid driver's license; Ability to operate lift trucks; cranes; hoists; Big Joe's, etc.
• Must be a team player; strong communications skills, take initiative, follow through with tasks/projects; strong problem solving with attention to detail; have a genuine interest in learning the processes and driving continuous improvement.
