Qualifications and Education Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or Visual Arts.
  • Minimum of ten years' experience with at least two to five years of experience with AEC or related firms is preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is preferred.
  • Non-degree experience will not be considered.



General Characteristics:

  • The Senior Graphic Designer works within the Marketing Department, reporting to the Assistant Director of Marketing. This role supports developing, coordinating, and submitting high-quality digital and print assets. The position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative approach. The Senior Graphic Designer will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to produce compelling visual content that aligns with the company's messaging and brand. Additionally, the Senior Graphic Designer will assist the 3D Artist in developing visualization and animation collateral. This position also assists with newsletters, press releases, promotional material, conferences, advertising, social media, and public relations (PR) efforts as needed.

    • Employee will report to the Assistant Director of Marketing to evaluate performance, career development, and mentoring/training.




Role and Responsibilities

  • Content Creation and Editing:

    • Design digital and print material for proposals, presentations, public relations, and internal communications, including templates, charts, infographics, brochures, ads, and announcements
    • Develop creative concepts and visual solutions to effectively communicate key messages
    • Maintain and organize digital assets, including icons, photography, and stock graphics
    • Coordinate with print vendors and photographers to support production and content needs


  • Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure graphics meet client requirements, including format, content, and submission deadlines
    • Conduct detailed graphic reviews to verify completeness, accuracy, and compliance with specified requirements
    • Adhere to quality control measures to guarantee all submissions are of the highest standard


  • Coordination and Project Management:

    • Work with various managers to establish graphics timelines, track progress, and meet submission deadlines.
    • Assist during proposal kick-off and other strategic pursuit meetings to ensure compelling win themes are crafted and executed in partnership with marketing.
    • Maintain an organized system for tracking graphic development, revisions, and final collateral repository.


  • Graphic Materials Library:

    • Maintain, update, and archive the graphics library (including headshots) and other reusable content to support the marketing team's efficiency and brand consistency
    • Stay current with industry best practices for asset management, including Adobe Creative Cloud libraries and other storage tools


  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Take initiative to drive projects forward and meet deadlines
    • Lead critical graphics discussions to enhance team collaboration and problem-solving
    • Collaborate with proposal team members to define and communicate graphic needs, timelines, and expectations
    • Partner with marketing, business development, and project teams to gather input, support continuous improvement, and create scalable solutions.
    • Maintain clear, timely communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful submissions

    • Assist in maintaining the Modjeski and Masters website and social media platforms

    • Provide support for events and sponsorships, including attendance at and/or ordering, producing, and assembling materials for such events
    • Assist with the creation and distribution of internal and external newsletters using Constant Contact and the Modjeski and Masters intranet (SPAN)
    • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned




Preferred Skills



  • Content Creation:

    • Experience in graphic development, preferably in architecture, engineering, or construction industries
    • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail, grammar, and brand/style adherence

    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other design software) to create visually appealing proposals and marketing materials
    • Adept with Microsoft 365, including PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint to efficiently collaborate, create documents, presentations, and manage data


  • Detail-Oriented and Analytical:

    • Maintains a high level of accuracy in preparing graphics and reviewing content for consistency and completeness.
    • Evaluates design challenges thoughtfully and communicates effective, strategic solutions to team members.
    • Ensures all visual elements align cohesively and adhere to brand standards through careful design execution.
