Summary

The Production Lead Operator is responsible for supporting daily operations in the brewing department. The production lead will be the first in line to assist brewers, pasteurizers and operators ensuring schedules and quality standards are met. This position requires documentation in SAP and ability to track material usage, product waste and weight control. The ideal candidate should be able to operate, adjust and troubleshoot machinery as needed.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 pm - 3:30 am

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily production operations, ensuring schedules are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Train new production staff and provide ongoing coaching to existing employees to enhance their skills and productivity.
  • Interact with SAP, ensuring production logs and transactions are accurate.
  • Experience in Start up and Shutdown of Equipment to ensure proper production cycles and lots.
  • Fulfill all duties or responsibilities of a brewer, pasteurizer, and operator, including but not limited to
    • Dumping/Washing/Filling tanks and Testing concentrate.
    • Following the Brewing SOP and extraction SOP.
    • Start up and sanitation of HTST, filling totes, shut down, and CIP of HTST.
    • Visually inspect all products for foreign materials and other food safety concerns.
  • Accurate record keeping.
  • Communicate changes in production, equipment malfunctions, material shortages, etc to Supervisors and Managers.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of brewing processes and machine operating to meet production goals and minimize cost downtime.
  • Keep a neat and orderly work area.
  • Wear all required PPE and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Offer general support to all warehouse and packaging associates.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours and overtime on weekends and holidays.
Requirements
  • Min. 1 Year experience operating PIT Equipment (Forklifts / Pallet Jacks)
  • 6 months of warehouse or machine operating experience required.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in group settings.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Prior Brewer or Pasteurizer experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to reach above shoulder level, climb, balance, kneel, bend over, etc.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to assemble small objects, boxes, etc.
  • Be physically active for 8 hours without becoming fatigued or out of breath.
  • Stand for 8 hours a day.
  • Frequently lift and or move 40+ pounds.
  • Occasionally lift and or move 75+ pounds.
  • Frequently push 300-400 lbs on a rolling cart, sometimes at an incline.

Compensation Range:$26.75-$36.25, plus bonus.
